EFDAL Private Educational
Institution was founded as a
kindergarten by educator
Efdal Irmak in 1974.
Our founder Efdal Irmak,
together with her husband
Turgut Irmak - also an
educator, established EFDAL
Private Primary School in
Göztepe's Yeşilçeşme Street
in 1983. With the
introduction of eight-year
compulsory education, Efdal
Primary School changed into
EFDAL Private Kindergarten
and Primary School in 1997.
Following the static
analysis of ITU, even though
there were no damages after
the earthquakes of August 17
and September 13, our school
was the first to rebuild its
school building as steel
construction over the summer
break. As of year 2000, our
students have been pursuing
their education with a life
safety of 100% in case of an
earthquake in the Istanbul
region.
